Michigan and Kentucky passed constitutional amendments banning legal recognition of gay marriage and any other union for a similar purpose. This means that even domestic partner health insurance benefits cannot be offered to gay couples by state-run institutions, including state universities. But, alas, fairness has found a way around the tyranny of the majority in these states:

It looks like it's your move again, Christian heterosexual elitists. I'm sure you'll have some creative legal devilry to sell to the legislatures in your respective states to try and counter Love's latest antidote to your poison. However, I don't think the people who have bitten into your rotten, mean-spirited agenda in the past will have much of an appetite for it anymore.
